New Year celebration is the most mysterious and unforgettable celebration of the year. New Year always gives a sense of fairy tales, expectation of miracle and fulfillment of the fondest wish. In the run-up to 2014 our team entered the magical world of the East to feel the atmosphere of mystery and mystique familiar from childhood.
The Oriental fairy-tale characters welcomed us there: a jinn entertaining the quests all night through, padishahs playing backgammon and dice with us so we could gain gold coins, bazaar merchants offering various spices and souvenirs. The sensation of involvement in the ancient Oriental culture was complemented with excellent Oriental cuisine and odors hanging thick in the air.
A vivid team-contest ran throughout the night: the players gained points for their teams and gold coins for themselves. On an Oriental bazaar one could haggle about better price or even snipe some gold; still our crew demonstrated mutual supportiveness: many of us gave the earned coins to support their friends.
The evening was full of New Year wishes and congratulations, clinks of glasses and laughter, and ended with merry dancing among friends and New Year lottery raffle.
