Mettler Toledo is a world-renowned manufacturer of test and analytical equipment.

The founders of the company Mettler

standing Swiss engineer Erhard Mettler, who first organized the production of single pan balances in 1945 at the town Kusnacht-on-Zurichsee.

The next jump of development occurred in 1950 — the accuracy of the balance reached 0,0001 mg.

The company Mettler Instrument AG has released the first electronic scale of high accuracy class (Class 1) in 1973.

Simultaneously, the company developed other directions. Soon under the brand name Mettler began manufacturing automatic titrators; instruments for thermal analysis, which are also famous with Swiss precision and high quality.

Association of Mettler and Toledo

In 1989 it merged METTLER and TOLEDO Scale Corporation — a leader in the manufacturing of industrial and commercial scales. Company TOLEDO Scale Corporation was located in Columbus, Ohio and in 1901 was released POS scales, which were shown both weight and the purchase price.

Mettler Toledo continues to evolve,

the staff is over 10,000 employees worldwide. The company’s production capacities are located in Switzerland, Germany, UK, USA and China.
